The Stage II Development comprises the construction of a Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant, Turbine Building, CW Pumphouse and Fuel Oil Tanks for the Tuas A Power Station, located on reclaimed land in the Tuas Industrial Park at the westernmost tip of Singapore island. The power station, which houses four 367.5 MW Combined Cycle Plants and two 600 MW steam plants, contributes about 25% of Singapore’s total power supply.
Scope of work
Geotechnical consultancy services including Soil Investigation consisting of 55 boreholes, with soil and groundwater sampling and in-situ tests (e.g. Pressuremeter Test, Vane Shear Test, Pressure Packer Test and Soil Resistivity Measurement) with regard to the foundation system of the development to be constructed over reclaimed land at western part of Singapore island where the existence of thick soft Marine Clay overlaying with Sand Fill is a concern in the foundation design and construction works of the project.
