Landfill and slope terrain
This landfill is located in an approximately 2 ha large ravine in a military restricted area. Land mines and explosives were discovered and removed during construction. The construction cost was around NTD$30 million and the facility design life is estimated to be 15 years. Primary structures include a retaining wall, an access road, leachate collection and treatment system, liner system and gas collection system. A composite liner system with double-sided textured HDPE liner was used to improve slope stability.
