A US$ 6.6 billion integrated resort on Sentosa Island south of Singapore
The 49 ha development consists of a Universal Studio Singapore theme park, a Quest Marine Life Park and an Equarius Water Park, a thematic hotel, spa villas, ballroom and meeting rooms, an international showroom, a maritime museum, a casino, retail spaces, a festive plaza and a waterfront amphitheatre.
The development involves the construction of a two levels basement, measuring about 375 m × 818 m (B1) & 353 m × 395 m (B2). The substructure works incorporates the construction of various structures above the basement level such as a thematic hotel, an international showroom, a casino, a maritime museum, a thematic amusement park, retail shops, restaurants and other facilities.
Scope of work
Geotechnical Investigation consisting of the drilling of 106 nos. of land based boreholes and 24 nos. offshore boreholes, laboratory soil tests and field tests over the reclaimed land and Jurong formation with various compositions ranging from residual soil to decomposed siltstone and sandstone.
