The main goal of the project is to provide Ankeng Township with a convenient means of public transportation that would stimulate local development and relieve traffic pressure on local roads. The route starts from Antai Road to Shisizhang Station of Taipei MRT at Xidan District. The total length of the route is about 7.5 km including 5 elevated stations, 4 at-grade stations and one depot near the Erbazi Botanical Garden( 二叭子植物園). The total construction cost is about NT$9.6 billion. MAA Taiwan was engaged by Department of Rapid Transit Systems to provide construction supervision services for the project.

 

Scope of Services

Construction supervision services include:
• Core system                                                                                                 • Civil engineering (depot included)
- Tram units                                                                                                    • Elevators and escalators
- LRT signal system and traffic signal system                                                • E&M, environment, plumbing
- Power supply system                                                                                   • System integration and coordination
- Communication system                                                                               - RAMS
- Depot facilities                                                                                             - Operation readiness
- Automatic ticketing system                                                                         - Testing
- Traffic control system and tram control system                                            • Assistance to final inspection
• Track system                                                                                                • Others (e.g. pipelines relocation and restoration work)
