A major aviation parts manufacturing facility

General Electric Company’s subsidiary, Elano (now part of GE Aviation), established this prominent new facility on 15 rais of land (2.4 ha) with a total area of 6,167 sqm. There are 4,500 m2 of factory space, the remainder being office and support space. The design also accommodates a future expansion of some 3,000 additional sqm. The building structure is reinforced concrete, with a floor loading of 5 tons per m2, a steel roof truss and metal sheet roof. The building, including factory space, is fully air-conditioned, and includes special lighting and other considerations to meet FAA and other US and international standards. All of the site utilities, roads, drainage, fire suppression and monitoring systems were included.
