Developing broadband Internet infrastructure in Taiwan

MAA has built several ducts for broadband Internet in Taiwan, in particular in Chiayi, Tainan and Kaohsiung. In Chiayi, MAA performed construction supervision services in 2006 for a 21.6 km long broadband duct with 0.5 m diameter and 0.85-1.2 m depth. In Tainan, MAA planned, designed and supervised the installation of a 68 km long cable, crossing five bridges with hooks and buried the rest of the time. Finally, in Kaohsiung, Sanmin, Lingya, Xinxing and Qianjin Districts, MAA planned, designed and supervised the installation of another broadband duct in 2008, along with the installation of drainage pipes, electricity and telecommunication cables.
