A playground style experience

Dish, a 100 sqm concept lifestyle store located in the Eslite Dunhua Department Store in Taipei, offers a very special experience to customers. SURV planned and designed its interior as an embodiment of freedom and fun for a young urban clientele, outside the realm of conventional retail practices. With its pincushion wall screening the interior space from the outside arcade, while at the same time attracting the attention of potential customers to enter the store through the protruding mysterious shapes caused by displayed items on the other side of the wall, the massive wooden display in the middle reminding of rice terraces, moving green metal panels, secret mirrors, indirect views and vertical and horizontal displacements, the store invites passers-by for an adventure and a very different experience from traditional stores.
