A new tourism hotspot for Tianjin

The Beitang Seafood Center is a 20,000 m2 development for 28 seafood restaurants located in Beitang, a town in the Tanggu District of Tianjin, created as part of a general strategy to transform the town into a modern recreation, commercial, exhibition and convention hub while also building on its historical origins as a fishing town, with other new amenities such as a folk custom area, a fishing museum, a yacht club, a thermal spring village and low-rise residential and office real estate.

Colorful container restaurants and fresh seafood

A new venue for seafood lovers, the Beitang Seafood Street masterplan and architecture was designed by SURV, the Shanghai-based MAA associated architecture firm, with used containers from Tianjin Port, as a way of reusing used materials and alluding to the maritime activities around Beitang.
