A part of Tianjin’s historical heritage

Qing Wang Fu (Prince Qing's Mansion) was built in 1922 for Prince Zaizhen (1876-1947), a Manchu Prince and politician of the Qing Dynasty, and has been designated a historical building under special protection in Tianjin.

Almost one hundred years old, this ancient mansion has been endowed with a new meaning thanks to its delicate renovation. In May 2011, led by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Land Resources and Housing Administration, the Tianjin Historical Architecture Restoration and Development Company (THARD) launched the two years long restoration of Qing Wang Fu based on the principles of protection first, reasonable and safe use and restoration to original. Shanghai-based SURV, MAA Group's associated architecture firm, performed design services for the project as part of the Qing Wang Fu restoration team.

China’s Best Design Hotel Award

In December 2013, Qing Wang Fu Club Suits & Serviced Residences in Tianjin China won the 5th China Best Design Hotel Award for Best Historical Inheritance and Preservation. The award is China's top honor for boutique hotel design and was created in 2009 by The Bund, an urban lifestyle magazine with a wide readership in China. China Best Design Hotel Award winners are chosen by public vote and by a panel of international design experts tasked with identifying the best designed properties in China.
