The Project includes Yongkang Water Recycling Center (average daily processing capacity of 87,000 CMD when it’s completed and average daily processing capacity of 29,000 CMD for the first phase) and reclaimed water facility project (15,500CMD when it’s completed, the first phase is 8,000CMD). The water reclaimed facility begins its first phase of supply in July 2020. In 2023, reclaimed water facility is fully completed and a 9.51 km water pipeline reaches the distribution reservoir in Southern Taiwan Science Park. The capacity of the distribution reservoir is 15,500CMD, and it applies bromide chemical dosing method to ensure the water quality requirement (urea<0.005mg/L). This center can process wastewater from Yongkang sewage system and industrial wastewater from Southern Taiwan Science Park. It also improves the domestic water system and advances the development of reclaimed water industry in Tainan. Several ecological recreation centers will be created inside the center as well, which will provide both practical and recreational purposes.
