The main arterial road for the largest new land development in Southeast Asia
Nguyen Van Linh is the transportation backbone of Saigon South. The 17.8 km parkway is the major transportation link between Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone and National Highway No. 1 as well as the main access road to Saigon South, a 2600 ha new town created by Phu My Hung Corporation including a 400 ha new city center, a university, a high-tech center and shopping centers, for which MAA performed infrastructure design work.
Project characteristics
Nguyen Van Linh Parkway is a 4-lane road with a 120 meter right-of-way that will be expanded to accommodate up to 10 lanes of traffic, in accordance to traffic needs. MAA was engaged for testing embankment foundations, tendering document preparation and basic design. The Nguyen Van Linh Parkway was opened for traffic in 1998.
